Do you have to do something today that you don’t really want to? Like sit-ups or getting a root canal?
Well, I have to sign Full Speed up for kindergarten and I really don’t want to. Really. Oh, I know, it’s supposed to be exciting and a wonderful milestone and all that jazz but I feel like a basket case. I love him and I want him to succeed I just don’t necessarily want him to grow older. Does this make sense?
No.
He is my firstborn. He is like no other and all I want is for him to live with me forever. I don’t know what the future holds but a Full Speed that is set to start kindergarten is really messing with my sense of stability (which we all know was quite wobbly to begin with).
The world is moving just a bit too fast for me today. There’s nothing I can do except fill out the paperwork and get on with my life. Apparently, I’m forgetting I actually have one separate from my children.
I’m working on it.
oh what a day of mixed emotions…sounds very exciting and in the same sense hard to let go of in a way. It seems the stage of the little guys going to school is a new chapter. I can not wait to hear all about the first day of kindergarten!
